The Holed Egg

Concept of the Egg

The Egg is a photo studio where audiences can take photos of themselves in.

The egg has a special set for a certain image output. For instance, there can be 'The Rainy Egg' which has a mechanical system of producing rain when an audience enters, then the audience can take a photo of itself with a remote controller (raincoat might have been given). The special effect varies, and each egg will be called and designed accordingly.

The photos taken by the audience will be uploaded to the Egg website, and people will be able to appreciate their photos and own them by downloading it.

The Holed Egg is the first version of the Egg series.

It is constructed of wood and covered by wooden panels. The basic design element of this Egg is ¡®hole¡¯. There are holes for lighting, review, installation and camera mounting. The holes gave this Egg an identity, and it was named ¡®The Holed Egg¡¯.

The unique set in this Egg is in the holes on the shell of the Egg and the ¡®screen¡¯ in front of an audience¡¯s face. The ¡®screen¡¯ is replaceable and there are various screens for each special effect.

Audiences need only to stand one side of the Egg, pick the moment and press the cable release. Audience can review the image through the hole on the panel behind the camera.

The photos will be uploaded to the egg website ¡®www.kimyonghun.com¡¯, and anybody can see and download them.
